Bath Housing is pleased to announce the 2016 Payment Standards. Bath Housing Authority (BHA) administers 134 Section 8 housing choice vouchers. The housing choice voucher program is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing available in the private market.
In the housing choice voucher program, eligible families are required to pay 30% of their income towards housing. This includes rent plus utilities, known as gross rent. The amount of the subsidy paid by BHA depends on the Payment Standard adopted by BHA annually for each unit size (number of bedrooms). See below the adopted standards for 2016.
