Bath, ME, October 30, 2015- Bath Housing Authority is pleased to receive a $2,000 Safety Enhancement Grant from the Maine Municipal Association.
The Maine Municipal Association has been awarding safety grants to Members of their Workers’ Compensation fund since 1999. The Grant program has assisted municipalities by bestowing more than $3.6 million through funding of 2,905 Safety Enhancement Grants and 396 Scholarship Grants.
In fall 2014, Bath Housing upgraded workstations and chairs for 5 of its 11 employees. In spring 2015, three additional workstations were upgraded. A total of 8 of 11 employees now have new workstations including ergonomically friendly desks and new computer monitors that are ergonomically adjustable. This grant will provide the remaining staff with new workstations.
One of four priority areas of Bath Housing’s strategic plan is to improve the quality of life for people we serve through superior customer service and programming. This grant assures the safety and quality of work environment of our staff.
