COVID-19 Update for Bath Housing Residents: April 2, 2020

Resources and needs continue to change quickly.  Here are some important information updates for this week:

  • A reminder that the Bath Police Department Good Morning Program is another call option for individuals age 60 and over with disabilities who live alone. You can reach the Bath Police Department at 443-5563 for more information on this program.

  • Taking care of ourselves can be hard right now—please reach out. Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is providing trained mental health staff to offer phone support free of charge, 24 hours/day to anyone who may be struggling with fear or stress.  You can reach them at 866-342-6892 for emotional support.

  • For those of you who recently received pet supplies, Dogwill plans to keep delivering those supplies here every 2 weeks and will label deliveries with your apartment number. If you did not participate in the first delivery but would like to be included going forward, please call Kristen at 295-3317 by Monday, April 6 so that she can gather information about your pet food/supply needs.  There is no need to call if you have already received supplies.  Dogwill is not able to use your help to make dog toys at this time as they have been unable to get the fleece fabric.  We will let you know if this changes.

  • If you have Visitors helping to deliver supplies to you, please ask them to stop and read the new signs at the building entrances.

  • We are holding your Garden Request Forms until a point in the future when it is possible for us to devote time to garden matching. We are unable to safely access your seed orders at this time so will be working on another plan for seeds.

  • Please don’t flush anything other than toilet paper! Flushing other materials can cause serious plumbing problems.  Bath Housing has an emergency supply of toilet paper.  Please call the office (443-3116) if you need a roll delivered to your Resource Table.

  • We know that you need Complaint Forms. You will find a stack in this envelope to refill your supply, along with envelopes that are already stamped with postage to mail the complaints back to Kevin.

  • As we shared in Monday’s call, all Community Rooms are closed until further notice to further support CDC recommendations that we all stay 6 feet away from other people. At Seacliff, a temporary wall is being installed tomorrow (Friday) to divide the Community & Laundry Rooms.

  • To avoid further build-up of recycling at Dikes Landing, the indoor recycling bins are being removed and all recycling can be taken to large bins which are being placed outside both entrances.

  • Mail carriers must be allowed space to safely deliver mail while also following necessary COVID-19 precautions. Please do not enter the mail delivery area at all until your mail carrier has left.  We strongly encourage you to keep a distance of 6 feet or more when you do go to get your mail, which may mean waiting until others have collected their mail.

  • Please know that though our office doors are closed, the Bath Housing team is very much on duty. In an effort to prevent the spread of illness in our community, we are also limiting our contact with each other. This means that at any given time, some of us are in the office, the Maintenance shop or working outdoors and some of us are working at other locations (so you may hear household noise when you call!).  Because there is so very much going on right now, we cannot get to every call as it comes in.  Leave a message and we will respond!  Sometimes our response will be a OneCall instead of a call back if we can address something that many individuals are asking about at one time.  Remember, too, that we want to hear about any urgent Work Orders so that Maintenance staff can take care of those for you.  Please know how committed this team is to doing everything possible to support your housing, safety and wellbeing.  We also really miss seeing you.

Please Keep the Kindness, Hand Washing and Distance of 6 Feet From Other People Going!

We want our community to stay well!
